Create Image/Conceptual/Physical Archive: Half Analog/Half Digital of your interests/work/curiosities
research the nature/definition of an Archive
consider: what is an archive?; what is the purpose of an archive?; what are some examples of actual archives in the real world?
What archives are the most useful? What makes an archive useful or powerful? What makes a good archive? What makes a bad archive?
What are the most innovative archives?
How do artists or designers or architects use archives?
Your archive should be a conceptual map of yourself in a way. What are the major references for your work and your life?
You should develop a strategy for how your archive should look and function
You might begin by simply listing what you are most interested in
You might want to consider what books have been most influential in your life and why? Then you will have to decide how to represent these books in your archive
What STILL IMAGES or single images are most important to you?
You might want to consider what fashion designers have been most influential in your life and why? Then you will have to decide how to represent these dessigners in your archive
You might want to consider what music is important to you. How will you archive sound?
Think about the relationship of the analog half of your archive to the digital half of your archive. How do the two relate to each other and how do they function together as a single archive.
Use InDesign for the digital half of the archive...
